Why Should You Die Before Your Time? - Poem by Edward Kofi Louis
A pretty little girl is your lover;
But, he who has knowledge is retrained in speech.
The golden bowl!
The silver cord,
The bronze cap;
Why should you die before your time?
The riches of the secret place,
Drop down oh heavens! !
For, the words of the wise are like goads;
But the spirit returns to the One who gave it.
A call for weeping!
But i openly speak of things which are right;
A call for mourning! !
Why should you die begore your time?
Wisdom is better than strength!
But a fool multiply words;
Wisdom is better than the weapons of war! !
But, a feast is made for laughter.
So, why should you die before your time?
