Why Us? - Poem by rachaellouise workman

Why us Terri,
Why do we have to go through this pain?
It’s like looking for a rainbow,
When there is no rain.
I still try and get to grips with it Terri,
And know that you won’t be there
When I say those words;
“I do”
With flowers in my hair.
Terri, I’m going to miss you.
You’ve always been here,
You’ve made me laugh
And made me smile
And now it seems so near.
Thank you so much Terri,
You are going to a better place
I just wish you could stick around
So I won’t miss seeing your face.
And now you’re gone Terri,
I just don’t know what to do.
I miss seeing your face
I miss seeing you.
Please come and visit us Terri,
At least once in a while,
Just to see you here again
Would definitely make me smile.
We’ve had so many cards Terri,
To show their love and care
But they can’t beat my love for you
And those memories that we share.
I really love you Terri,
Please don’t forget that I do.
I hope you rest in peace Terri,
I really do love you.
Don’t forget me Terri,
Because I will never, ever forget you.
