Maybe blues run cooler
Gaspin' as tides grab hold,
Washin' out the answers
to questions I unfold.

Watchin' sands sift deeper
As I look out from in,
Feel this castle crumble
Left within the loss...again.

'Why' never gives good reason,
'When' hasn't time to say,
'How' fails to give the details,
And 'where' proclaims, 'No way.'

Still, I'm left with questions
maybe lookin' out aint 'in',
And maybe a 'maybe's' the reason
My answer has left yet again.
