Will This Goodbye Be The Last Goodbye Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

Will This Goodbye Be The Last Goodbye

Will this goodbye
be the last goodbye,
or just another step
in the endless echo
of leaving.

Your silhouette fades,
yet lingers in the corners
of my mind.
Fingers grasp at the air
where you once stood,
but the space is hollow,
the warmth gone cold.

Every word unspoken
weighs heavier than
those we exchanged.
I search the silence
for answers,
but find only the ache
of what cannot return.

If this is the end,
then let it unravel gently,
like twilight surrendering to night.
But if there's more,
if our paths are threads
in the same tapestry,
then may this goodbye
be just another beginning.
