Wind And Storm Poem by Somanathan Iyer

Wind And Storm

why you turn so violent
when you mingle with darling rain?
from far off places you bring the clouds
you make them burst with fearful force
living in a trance you stir the seas
pushing it's tides to drown the shores
you change your course in a rage of madness
playing havoc to bring down everything
the sound of yours during the storm
signals a death song to all our ears
sending shivers in all our spines
many a lives snatched by your might
you spare nothing that stand your way
towns and villages perish in your sway
uprooted trees destroyed buildings
vanished lives and reigning darkness
mute evidence for your dance of death
