An English-speaker
sees the name 'Ma Sih Hsuin' in print
and tries to say it:
'Ma Sigh' or 'Ma See'
on 'Shoe-in', 'Sue-in', 'Schwin' or 'Swin';
or, 'Ma Sigh Swine' or 'Ma See Schwine'
and vice versa.
Perhaps none of those is it;
perhaps 'Sih' is like the s-i in 'sit'...
or worse.
Who cared? He did, in Pittsburg PA.
When he moved there,
Sih Hsuin became Winston Ma.
