Winter Poem by Marilyn Shepperson

Winter

The sun shines down on a strange landscape
Its' light obscured by a thin layer of cloud
Colours seem to have disappeared overnight
Everything is now black, grey or white
A heavy blanket of snow lies upon all
And all is hushed except for the creaking of ice
