Winter Chapel Poem by fraidoon warasta

Winter Chapel

khione* will come from the north
riding on a blue avalanche
her majestic attraction
making my winter chapel freeze
so nature can go wild
the way she wants

she will creep into the winter chapel
her freezing breath
her icy curves
her frosty blue eyes are
my consolation

unpleasant!
but
you know how much i miss you!
i miss you khione
when i enter the winter chapel
i want to see you
when i enter the winter chapel
i abandon my desire for comfort
my will becomes lucid and flawless
with a warm heart i will embrace your breath

i miss your splendour on my days and nights
i miss your snowy dress
your transparent hands
i want to feel the flame of frost through my veins,
in my bones and my eyes

o coy snow goddess,
i don't run away from your icy breath
instead, i yield and conquer my indolence

i understand
how you work
as a mutual dancing-kissing play of all phenomena
yes! nature
has no persona to wear
winter without snow?
happiness without sadness?
life without death?

o khione!
shivering
let me put my warm belly
on your freezing belly

my inner child dreams of
playing, making a colossal smiling snow-woman,
alp-like, that will provide
snow, ice and water
for the rest of year
to the entire world
to the happy polar bear cubs

o khione!
help me to grow a big snow tree
so that its branches can reach, hug, kiss
make love with the sky,
its roots can quench the thirst of
all ages

khione come from the north! ! !
