Winter's First Touch Poem by Katinka Havermans

Winter's First Touch

Winter's first touch
An icy alloy
The fields are white
Covered with hoar-frost
Here and there a hint
Of their green origin
Black crows find
Their way scratching
So I imagine
As my train whizzes past
