Winter sits there waiting
In the wings of autumn's show
With leaves now crisp upon the bough
And promises of snow
Winter sits there waiting
For the sun to pass her prime
For summer's blooms to wilt and die
Farewell to autumn time
Winter sits there waiting
There's a coldness in the air
The days are getting shorter now
The trees are looking bare
Winter sits there waiting
And the wind is blowing cold
With lonesome nights and heavy heart
I need someone to hold
Winter sits there waiting
How the times goes marching on
The years betray a lifetime passed
Beneath the brightling sun
Winter sits there waiting
And it seems it won't be long
Before the chill of autumn's voice
Sings out her final song
Winter sits there waiting
All too soon her time will come
And the shadow of her coming
Will fall on everyone

Come on! Summer is still here. Autumn hasn't even yet begun. Not really a fan of winter; but do like this poem.
