Winter Sky Clouded (Winter Haiku) Poem by Peter S. Quinn

Winter Sky Clouded (Winter Haiku)

Rating: 5.0

winter sky clouded-
the cold snow reaches the knees
in yawning footsteps

*There's snowing much in Reykjavík right now. So I was thinking about Matsuo Basho, when he wrote:

Autumn moonlight-
a worm digs silently
into the chestnut.
