It was on a cold snowy day
When we took off in our car
Cranked up the heater
We didn’t have to go too far
We drove to Chisholm Trail Park
A wonderful place to go
And the sights were even better
As we viewed it in sparkling snow
There is a wonderful famous Longhorn
It is a statue in the original form
This day he was covered in snow
And looked a little bit forlorn
Enclosed is a special memorial
Kathryn Wright was the lady’s name
Who sang in Opera Theatres in the past
And famous she will always remain
So if you ever get the chance, folks
Take a trip into the old west
To the Chisholm Trail Park
One of the places I love best!
