I sit in my room
Complete silence
Reliving a memory that you and i shared
It quiets my mind
And opens my heart
My eyes close and a hint of a smile crosses my lips
The feel of your lips is fresh in my mind
But soon it will fade away
So quickly it goes
The memory is going to be gone soon
The knowledge of this makes me sad
I put it to the back of my mind for now
Just concentrating on our memory
I lay perfectly still
Not making a sound
Eyes closed
Mind empty
Heart filled with you
So peaceful in this world
My own little world
I'm relaxed and all is well
Until i hear a door open
A voice fills my silence
And hatred fills my mind
I shut down so they dont see
Hiding the real me
A fake smile, is what i wear
Feels so normal, and that makes me scared
As the memories fade
And my eyes open
I see the real world
Nothing like mine
Here there are fights almost every night
Here there is no such thing as silence
Screaming is what invites me in
Making me want to leave this place
Moms in a bad mood tonight
Which means everyone else has to be
My sister will scream back
Moms gf will be silent
I will stay in my room and write my feelings
Tonight will be interesting
