Wish Upon A Star Poem by Ima Ryma

The sun did undergo a change.
Its ultraviolet rays became
Intensified in shining strange.
Life benefits were not the same
Higher the temperatures did turn.
Plants and animals sought relief.
More and more things began to burn.
The sun was now a source of grief.
Science knew of nothing to do.
Wishing was all that could be done.
If wish upon a star be true,
The closest star would be the sun.

I wish the ceasing of Earth char,
And so I wish upon a star.
