Wishes Poem by Octavian Cocos

Wishes

Lazily, the sun is falling
Down behind a mountain range,
Evening sneakily is crawling
And is cooler for a change.

Now, the beach is empty, weary,
Only you and I are here
We are talking, feeling cheery,
And our laugh is loud and clear.

The blue stars from outer spaces
Will be rising very soon,
Our nice and happy faces
Will be lighted by the moon.

On our backs now we are lying
And are watching with delight
How two shooting stars are dying
Turning into streaks of light.

With our bodies gently shaking
Thrilled by their impressive dive
Each of us a wish is making -
Has yours ever come alive?
