Wishes Poem by Erin Cowart

Wishes

Rating: 5.0

I read a story of a mother
Who died today from cancer
There was a photo of her family
And a brightly beaming little girl

I closed my eyes
Breathed in and out
And made a request to the universe
For that little girl

Peace to her heart
Comfort to her soul
Understanding to her mind
Belief to her unbelief

I do not know if it helped
I hope the wind carried it to her
That the thread of existence that runs through all things
Let her feel it

If not
Then what are wishes for?

" Peace to her heart" Without wishes, without hope we could not move forward. Thank you Erin. The whole world needs your wishes.
