Wishing Poem by Hyde

Wishing

please splash me with cold water,
for i just can’t believe my mind.
i see the sheen of your hair
and the sparkle in your eyes.

the spotlight is upon you,
and yet you don’t back down.
your soul is filled with passion
it’s a wonder you haven’t drowned.

i feel your skin against me,
and my heart screams out for you.
your soul is flooding with integrity
so i know your love is true.

why can’t you see? that what i need,
is for you to forever hold me tight.
on the outside i smile freely
but on the inside i’m crying with all my might.

my dreams are crushed and shattered,
because i never see your soul.
and my eyes bleed mascara
as a way to pay your endless toll.

i know that inside you’re bleeding,
and i wish i could offer you my hand.
but i know you’ll just reject it
and burrow deep within the sand.

i wish you felt as i do,
cold without your feel.
but i mind as well stop wishing
for i know this isn’t you’re not real.
