Wishing For A Hello - Poem by Lynzi Berner

I'm afraid to try and
talk to you

At least in your silence
I can pretend you still
love me

I can imagine your smile
and remember how

Your eyes saw through me
to the deepest parts
of my soul

You opened my eyes to a world
far more beautiful
than my own

So I wait here, lost in memories
dancing on the edge
of my reality

I just wish you would say
