I shivered with fear
As death bell rang to ears
“Come on, pack your luggage”
You are now off the age
At one point of time, I decided to plead
But in seconds, thought and read
The beautiful wishes and message
She was at far end and waiting to read my page
I forgot the presence of death messenger
He was visibly resolute and showed an anger
I was unmoved and stared with forceful desire
Some miracle took place and if found him not near
It was little pain in hand and chest congestion
I saw real death and thought of our relation
“Your face came before me and I simply dared”
That is how I escaped from dragnet and fared
You were and are my strength
I take each count with your breath
Are you listening to my words, o love?
I simply try to catch glimpse and believe
You should have been to my bed side
I wanted few words to confide
I know no one can take me over
As I have your illuminating face as cover

Negative Sabrina Manitowabi2 hours ago It is confusing.
Feelings of strength when there is imagination of death close to one's life Umesh Upadhyaya1 hour ago very nice, also the style of presentation and fine control of emotions. Comment 0
I liked it Daniel Cuellar2 hours ago I really appreciated the visual imagery here. Although I had to read it several times to truly understand it. It is a little confusing, and there are a few typos, but nice job
