With peaceful struggle
Nelson
You were real son
Of the soil and of the heavenly land
You had your own brand
How many years you were behind bars?
Still you had in mind bright sun and stars
You dreamed about free land and free people
And that lead classless struggle
No, you never advocated violence
You were beacon of peace
Whole of world took to your words
You are an apostle of harmony and peace
Country saw upward swing
With lot many surprises to bring
The foreign powers relented
And thus the will of the nation was tested
You gave life for the nation
You built international reputation
The African unity stood with flying colors
All people lived fearlessly san color discrimination
Such people descent on earth with mission
They have nothing to prove with admission
Life is precious but not more than people
Their name is always associated with peaceful struggle
You gave life for the nation You built international reputation The African unity stood with flying colors All people lived fearlessly san color discrimination Such people descent on earth with mission They have nothing to prove with admission Life is precious but not more than people Their name is always associated with peaceful struggle
