With You Poem by Dawn Novus

With You

Rating: 5.0

With you I am not alone

We are one

Come lay your heart

Here in these arms of mine

So long its been a quiet solitude

The favour is mine

Your love has found a home in me

I will no longer fear

Slumber and peaceful we shall sleep

Its not the end but the beginning

With you I have found

What my heart beats for

I surrendered completely to this love poem. It seems to be spoken in a quiet moment when you and your partner are just relaxed and comfortable with each other. It's not a moment of Grand Passion, but it's the foundational rapport that keeps such passion alive and renews its energy with quiet moments like this that are the Proof Positive of Love. This poem calms me. It answers a deep human need for quiet certainty.
