Wither Away Poem by Saswati Prusty

Wither Away

Rating: 5.0

For grasses thrive
Dance bright in the sunshine
Cannot compel the sun to turn towards them
Cannot part the clouds blocking the rays
Rejoice when nature be so kind
Shower an abundance of warmth and shine

Wither away, in the absence
Absence, draining dry the fervent roots of life
Wither away, one leaf at a time
Tired longing, as far as the eyes could see
Endless horizon, Oh my, I wither away.
