Without A Dream Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

Without A Dream

Without a dream,
you stand still in the silence of the world,
waiting for something that will never come.

A dream is the seed,
buried deep in the soil of the soul,
needing only your courage to grow.

Without a dream,
the sky is just a canvas without colour,
the horizon a line you never dare to cross.

A dream whispers:
'Walk forward, even if you don't know the way.
Fall, and rise again, create what does not yet exist '

Without a dream,
there is no becoming,
only being-unchanged, unmoved.

But with one?
You can shape mountains,
carry the fire of stars in your hands
and make the impossible real.
