Without A Tribe Poem by Newton Ray Ukwuoma

Without A Tribe

Without A Tribe

We sing this song to new minds spurred by fate
To fight the somber state of our sickly state
To build a nation; not a tribe, with bond`
Of love and not of hate—that canker`s wand
Our heroes past improved to desolate
Our rich green land which strife now fumigate
That mighty spell that scatter`d and conned
The history and norms we grew quite fond

Why twirl and sing for the three igneous men
Who laid the bricks of a selfish reign
Upon a rock as firm as disunity
To whom did gain on our diversity
No mortal strong can stand to break this scribe
Of broom- that is a nation without a tribe.
