Without Any Resistance Poem by Gert Strydom

Without Any Resistance

In your arrival there is no ohm
as all resistance breaks
when you do come to me,
where your curves and lines do glide in satin,
are softer than any whispering,
your perfume is fresh and both known and unknown
as you are pretty, my attractive wife,
where your smile like sunshine
now brings a new morning full of hope,
when Teatro or Russel Watson or Eros Ramazotti
in Italian sing beautiful of love that remains eternally,
when candles burn in our bedroom,
secretive over the walls do throw shadows,
where after a year apart
your and my own year of jubilation begins together
and you and I are like Adam and Eve
who find each other again after the separation of the falling to sin,
somewhere with forgiveness and sincere love
when you are again mine.
