Without You Poem by Richard D Remler

Without You

~~~~~~~
I pop the top
On a can of beer,
The weather's fine
And the sky is clear.
The moon is up,
And the cricket's sing,
And my pick-up truck
Is a quiet thing.
When the weather's fine
And the sky is clear,
I watch the stars move
From there to here,
And I think of you,
'Cuz I miss you, Dear.
And I wonder what
You're doing tonight,
Because the weather's fine,
And it's just not right
Without you.
Without you
I'm just not me.
Nothing's quite the way
They used to be.
Our house is
Not a home
When it's just me
Here alone.
I miss you more each day,
And the tears get in the way
When I think of you
The way I thought of you
Today.
Now I'm as blue
As a man can be,
And my heart aches
Just a little bit, you see.
For when you left,
You took a little piece of me,
And I never knew how bad
A hurt could be.
So I pop the top
On a can of beer,
The weather's fine
And the sky is clear.
I can see your smile
In the stars above,
For you are still
My one and only love.
And I wonder how
You're doing tonight,
Because the weather's fine,
And it's just not right
Without you.
