Wonderful Phenomenon Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Wonderful Phenomenon

Silence of yesterday being resurrected in an alto voice sounding
energetic and fine, like a parachute soaring through the skyway
of music.

Descending in a whirlwind of grace and blessings as the crowd
below watches dumbfounded and amazed at what's going on before
them.

Keyboard not silent, pouring rhythms constantly into the atmosphere
where darkness of night surrounds us all, touching and stepping on
notes and their constant home of measures, nothing able to escape.

This being a wonderful phenomenon tonight, a way out, not so risky,
yet set for a rebel poet to move around unseen and invisible as
staccato sounds of color coming out onto the stage.

Being bound by no one or anything, just enlivening all the people
here listening, choosing to brave the coldness of this night just
to be entertained.
