Wondrous Waters Poem by Amanda Swindahl

Wondrous Waters

Written By: Amanda Swindahl
Patterned sand beneath my feet,
Brown sugar between my toes,
Big blue rolls in stealing it away,
Paradise in every direction.

Tubes with white clouds cap the shore,
A piece of heaven disastrous and soothing.
Rinsing over my every step, it's translucent and so full,
Powered with wondrous, and curious forces. It dies down with sweet sounding sorrow,

Patterned sand covers my feet once more, rejoicing with a rush; sudden crashes mock the current and follow your every move along shore.
Laughter shadows every age, loyalty to its every motive.

Whispering sweet lullabies and unsung secret meanings,
A reflection is within, these whispers have no voice,
But damned with soul, these waters mock reflections, the tall tall trees, grassy palms, satin waves, starry eyes, and the sand that is bound in a tumbling tyrant, movements from the dancing clouds, and a suns radiance.

Vibrant air is spiced with fruit and humid tropics. The warmth covers every inch of your soul. Wondering into the deep reds, the sky becomes a rainbow at its entirety.

Mysterious how timely it prompts into the night, as it dissolves you can taste such beauty before the loyal moon slips into the sky.
Watching over paradise it surrounds you with light, such radiance temps the night, the waters never seem to tire, lay down enough to rise to the shimmering glow, centered it reflects a path as if it were calling you back in.

Its aggressive forces bind your heart and lock your vision.
Wondrous waters, every dropp stole my memory.
A paradise with armor and pleasant dreams.
