Words Are Doves Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Words Are Doves

Words are doves

Words are doves,
-innocent and pure
-they are white
-noiselessly they fly
-sweet, soft…

Words are doves,
-on stage
-magicians pull them out
-of the hats,
-of sleeves
-of cloth.

Words are doves,
-in circus
-they are toys of balance
-on back of elephants
-falabella…
-small and tiny horse

Words are doves,
-for respect are always in the cage
-prisoners, are hurt, burdened
-for man's games
-fact, fiction, stories, politics,
-often for lies, tricks…

Words are doves,
-every cell is a word
-in muscles, nerves and bones
-to breaths and blood of our lives
-in dungeons and the caves of our souls
-forcefully, the words hide, who dares talk?
-have to keep the mouth shut
-be social and polite
-law tells us!

Words are doves,
-the silent mass of words
-inside head, heart and mind …
-are the doves in cages; need to die…
