tHIS IS THE BEDROCK OFPOETRY: the biggestmtruth expressed in thesimplest language. Not simpleminded but ratrher fundamental, thatonwhich the rest of reality is built. D. H. Lawrence expressed the same idea when he opned apoem with the line: Not me! but the wind which blowsm through me.

Thank you Daniel for the comment on this poem. It is a belief I have held for decades, it actually got me excluded from a Poetry Writing Class by a Professor at Canterbury University in New Zealand. He believed we must read a lot of poetry, study form technique, build on past poets and poems written before we can write good poetry. I believe some of our best poetry comes without effort in moments of bliss often when we are least ready. I will look up the D. H. Lawrence reference which I have never read. (Not me! but the wind which blowsm through me.) Nietzsche and Picasso expressed similar views which I referenced in another split image I will post tomorrow. Warmest Regards Terence
