Words can be like daggers
That wound if not, kill
Tongue can easily waggle
Wield power to love-kill
Words can hurt one's very core
Instantly destroy soul with one blow
Respect in broken pieces, on the floor
Sword of words shield doer's dark ego
Tongue can be a dangerous weapon
It can freeze, even break relationships
Hurts forgiven and healed can reopen
One bullet-word shatters a dream-ship
Words of kindness can liberate a soul
Loving words forgive and heal a wound
Words of comfort like rose petals, unfold
Bloom, giving sweet fragrance all around
Words can give life, resurrect the dead
Words that inspire, energize a dream
Words of affirmation, strengthens faith
Words of appreciation make heart beam
Speak to communicate hope, to up-build
Speak gently words that give new life
Speak words of love, for that is God's will
Words used wisely, happiness will stay alive

The poet has exquisitely shown the power of a word and the impact of right kind of expression on the life of others e.g. Words of comfort like rose petals, unfold. Thanks, Paul.
Thank you dear friend for your affirmation and appreciation. I am glad you liked it.
