Bold, truthful, respectful
everything what a husband should be;
courageous, loving, adoring
what a beautiful heart he is;
always so caring to me
always so understanding though loud;
would I have ever found anyone
better than him?
At the age of eighteen onwards
he has cared for me,
after he wedded me
he has honoured me;
after I became a mother
he adored me;
and now as time is at hand
after retirement,
he makes me tea and coffee
he makes me salads and soups
and even puddings and calamari;
we are happiest in each other's company
though in age he is ten years older to me;
he is still as handsome as the day I met him
and together we look so young:
as it is his love and care that he showers on me
and we vibe so well with each other;
he gives me courage to go on amidst the
grief I often feel at the loss of my brothers;
and it makes him so special to me
as he has been here on this earth for me
by the grace of God Almighty who has
spared his life thrice for my sake and
for the sake of my happiness so genuine;
he has had two massive heart attacks twice
and yet he survived his deal
as I was in time to rush him to a hospital
when he complained of severe chest pains
and breathlessness all so suddenly;
he also survived COVID-19 as I rushed him
to hospital and admitted him there
until he was stable and well;
as a symbol of gratitude
he now loves me all the more
and treats me with greater gentleness
though in this age the passion is at its low;
but until this day he has adhered to
his promise not smoke or drink
and though he is ailing silently
at this age of seventy two
when he should be cherishing
peace and harmony,
he faces envy from his own kin
as he has the power of my love and status
with him and the blessing of my prosperity
which makes them all so jealous of him
from before until now
that they have caused him anxiety and agony
which has lasted for decades;
but in my eyes he is a man so full of dignity
he is my pride and my gift from God
as without a love like his
I would have never known what is love
as my passion was rolling in an ocean
which had no anchorage
and if he had not to find me
and hook my heart to his heart
I would have not known what is love
but from him I learnt to know a heart
and how to use it
so that our love and life lasts long.
