Oh my dear child
this world is fraught
with very dangerous
gals and guys
just take care

before you dwell
in the hearts of a trusted few
never expose yourself

love is only granted
given just once
surely to a loved one

the one who is never mistaken
but
then that's a great chance
we all must have once taken

love is a forbidden fruit
which must be partaken
at least once

when trust is uppermost
but
my daughter dear
beware
that can't be said for certain

take your stride
at a pace slow
never after a man
any man run or go
he'll take you for a ride
this you ought to know

all men have but one goal
my dear one
by now you ought to know
I am sure
you do
by now you know
I hope this message
goes down though maybe slow
