Worth Fixing Poem by Randy McClave

Worth Fixing

I see an old broken toy
That I played with as a boy,
I remember the excitement that it brought
And all the lessons that it had taught.
The great memories that it gave
Every thought I did save,
But, there it now lays broken
Enough remorse can't be spoken.

I am now a man
Whatever I can do I can,
Now I see many beautiful and good things
With bumps, scratches and dings.
I see many people the very same way
From relationships and hurt they hurtfully walk away,
Pain and sadness they too will bare
And they too need repair.

I now remember the joy brought to me
I thought that it was all a guarantee,
From the toys and the people that I knew
Which made my soul feel new.
I know grab my tools and my every book
Every person and toy deserves a second look,
Now I'll repair with philosophical and tool mixing
Remember, all good things deserve and are worth fixing.
