Worth Living For Poem by Mary Rodriguez

Worth Living For

Rating: 5.0

Doubts cloud my thoughts making it hard to see
Fear of what's to come; what'll become of me?
Why does it seem the harder we try, the more we fall?
Remembering a time it felt I had it all
We live to be loved; to feel that we belong
Without love, everything just feels wrong
My past demons I've tried so hard to amend
Not sure I have faith now to reach the end
Encompassing silence; I find myself having to atone
It's hard to live this life feeling so alone
A caring heart can keep those dark thoughts away
Your light shines bright and helps guide my way
Pictures of us are stored safely in my mind
A love like yours is so hard to find
Your words give me strength and remind me who I am
What you say is the truth; it's not a sham
All I have with you is more than enough
Being away from you is when things are tough
You hold my heart gently in your delicate hands
You're precious to me; on you I'll place no demands
It's you who I most adore
You're my reward; worth living for
