Would you care to paint a picture?
with palette full of words?
A heartfelt, poignant mixture,
that flies off the page like birds?
Would you paint a stormy landscape,
with dark words tinged with grey?
With moulding words that form and shape,
a world lost in disarray.
Or would you paint a scenery,
with vibrant words and life?
Resplendent with lush greenery,
without a single word of strife?
Or would you rather write a song,
with lilting words that dance?
A write that we can sing along,
Would you grant us that chance?
Or would you write a ballad?
Some deep, sonorous tale;
That haunts us till we're pallid,
that makes us want to wail?
Isn't it just pure magic?
to have the power to forget;
To turn around what's tragic,
with just the alphabet.
