Would You? Would I? Poem by Matt Mooney

Would You? Would I?

Would you say yes and thank you
If I were to cross the floor tonight
And asked you out to dance dear?
‘Well yes I would –I would indeed-
If I were asked I’d dance with you’.

Love comes with the asking only,
Take to the floor tonight with me;
It is better than to end up lonely.

By the fire the two of us in quiet,
Sworn in to share our lives as one;
To fill the space between us here,
To the distant music of the spheres.

Oh the floor is wider for this...and just for both of you. It really a light of love and smell of rose dancing around and around..while the air played the music for steps to dance..No way this is sweet poem...really it is :) _Unwritten Soul
