Wounds Scarring Hearts Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Wounds scarring hearts, spirits and minds tend to reopen off
and on through the years, feeling fine, doing well, then all
of a sudden a thought, an image, picture, touches interior
memories that have been hidden deeply inside.

Not able to be totally contained because circumstances were
so horrendous, scaring mind, intellect, even brain, so very
deeply that they never fully heal.

Memories being relived over and over again without any warn-
ing whatsoever, how will they ever be healed, there's no way,
they will be continually remembered in some way through the
years it seems.
