Writer's Plight Poem by Amelie Ison

Writer's Plight

Rating: 5.0

I have no words
So I'll say this instead:
I'll write a verse
For the missing;
For those words I could not write.
Though I could see them in my head,
When I looked at my paper,
They were gone again
So quick; they must have been snatched.
Vanished, just like that!
Unbelievably, it's true—
My words are lost from me,
And I can't live in a wordless world.
My words are lost from me,
So, shall I go back to my virtually wordless world?
My words are lost from me.
A wordless world; what a sad little life I now lead!
