writers write readers read a writer and a reader
may form an interactive overlapping discourse
exchange a few theme topic insight words ideas
meet in artistic interest friendship discussions
but will not meet in middle ground equal distances
time shifts activity interchanges meetings will be
on shifting borders time tasks cannot remain in
time squared same timeframes because a writer
writes readers read time tasks time priority reads

Your description of the shifting borders of a conversation between poets is poignant. Both parties to the conversation need to generate momentum, so they often pass like ships in the night. But they have ways to nourish each others' inspiration nevertheless.
