Writing In Multiple Languages Poem by Hebert Logerie

Writing In Multiple Languages

Rating: 5.0

I feel blessed and lucky that I can express
Myself in many languages, patois or dialects
From time to time, I make a lot of silly errors
In translating. Some sentences have splinters
Ready to mentally send me to a psychiatrist
To have my brain examined. I have a list
Of challenging words that are not easy to rhyme
Countless websites on the NET can be helpful at times
Writing a beautiful poem is a divine inspiration
When the words make sense, a plethora of actions
And the imagery fall in the right place. It is exhilarating
To empty one's soul on a blank sheet of paper, by caressing
The keyboard of a laptop like a legendary pianist
It is like being on cloud nine, where God exists
It is also wonderful to welcome all sorts of critics
Where anybody can comment like inebriated addicts
It is exciting to be cool and to have an open mind like an aunt
Because freedom of expression is essential and potent
For our success. Criticism makes the works more important
And much more valuable. Thank you everybody for commenting
For dropping a few words. Enlighten me, when I am lost in the ring
Please let me know when I mess up. I'm having fun when I am writing
I'll comment and return the favors too. Please let the words ring and sing.

Excellent presentation of what a poet is and feels when writing, and after having written. Your descriptive narrative of inner creative feelings towards poetry is enlightening, clearly felt and transmitted magically by your sincere and inspired words. Leading some, perhaps to believe, that being a poet and writing poems may be of the best and happiest things in this upside-down world.
