POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem is one of my favourites amongst the poems that I've written. Being an avid fan of classical Yoruba movies, the name 'Wuraola' and the first few lines just stuck on my head while I was weeding around the house. I had to stop, run inside and bring my notepad and pen just to write the first few lines. The whole poem came to me in Yoruba language. One funny thing to note, however, is that I'm not even Yoruba. So, pardon me if you feel that my Yoruba and use of diacritics are poor.
