Black Don't Crack Poem by Stephen Omolori

Black Don't Crack

Rating: 5.0

Her skin used to be her treasure
Before she got demoralized.
She shined not in meagre measure
When her beauty was idolized.
The glorified evil called "modernity",
Got the once innocent lady corrupted.
All I see is her nude image in a city,
Spreading like a volcano that's erupted!
Her heritage, dignity and innocence,
She forgets and hates to claim.
She encourages nudity with impudence,
While she bleaches her skin for fame.
Go! Bring her back on track,
And tell her that black don't crack!
