Wrong Blade Poem by Vision Ghost

Wrong Blade

Tears don’t seem to fall enough to ever supplement
The seeping heart bleeding to further this torment
For the fear that I felt of the blackness so beyond
Diluted slowly by the whiskey and beer so donned

Reminiscing on the final words that were spoken
Spoken in love and now that that’s over and broken
Like this heart that pound in a bruised matrimony
To the grieving of the soul that can’t stop the agony

More whiskey filling my gut to the point of my rage
That I can’t ever see a way beyond this dark stage
So thus an idea focuses in drunken eyes for finality
Of this life that has been nothing but painful anxiety

So many lost words spoken to the shadow on the wall
Seemingly in jest to the misunderstanding when I fall
Text everyone I know to find some form of salvation
As tears render me ‘till the soul is dry in damnation

Feelings lost as the blood runs cold to a numb partition
That used to be my conscious and sense of condemnation
No longer fearing the death as the alcohol swims inside
To the mind that speak sonly of the hearts eventual deicide

For I am now closer to god than I am myself right here
And loosing the sight of objectivity through loss of fear
That the blade I seek is only a few feet away from me
Perhaps I can’t sever the skin to somehow set me free

Holding the blade tight as vision seems to blur intoxication
And the only thing I can desire is this swift inauguration
To the release of this torturously dealt out hand on life
Knowing the bleeding of me in pain will out the strife

Drive this blade to the skin of a naked wrist in a pulse
Yet the skin that refuses to break and agonies convulse
I can’t seek the bleeding in such a desperate necessity
Dropping the blade and punch a wall in such ferocity

And falling to the floor in near unconscious glamour
Loosing the will yet the body so unstable in demeanour
To carry on this wish for release and needed blackness
The nothingness now gone and asleep, I fall unconscious
