Xmas 2011 - Poem by Michael Pruchnicki

Society of Jesus -
God's warrior fond
of roast pigeon

hobo jungle
'No man below the salt! '

Jew and gentile
pass the muscatel

City sparrows chirp
'Come and get it -
free seed for all! '

Eve of Christ's Mass
sun-baked sidewalks
downtown LA

Owl-eyed sister
a pavement penitent
lost soul adrifr

'O! rue anemone -
wilted flower,
mother's favorite! '

XMAS TREES sale $10

'Got a buck, pal? '

'Life is a bitch -
then you die, pendejo! '
