News
News and news
News and news and news
Veteran of Iraq,
Veteran of Afghanistan
Killed, Gunned down; PTSD
War
War, war
War, war, war
Imposed on others; now at home
I read and hear, my head is bursting!
Election
Rigging and cyber
And Syria and Russia
And Yazidis and closure
(Of their only base…)
Unsafe
Cheating and stealing,
Lying, fear and mistrust…
In my hand a lantern
A torch, and a candle
I search…feel tired
Cannot find peace and calm…
Saadi's books
Once the Middle East's textbooks
To Turkmenia, India and Central Asia
Were killed, buried and walled, (Mexico-USA)
The Maktabs that taught humanity and wisdom…
Were replaced by British systems, in East India
And in the neutral zone; Afghanistan
Now…wars, veterans, PTSD at home…
Those who sat on the branch's tip
Cutting the end of the bough
Have to pay the price…
Saadi said it then in poem:
"Cutting the end of the bough
By sitting at its tip
Harms the cutter more than…
Harming the owner…"
Keep on reading fifty shades of Grey
Keep your head in the sand and suffer…
