Yesterday's Tragedy Poem by Clive Culverhouse

Yesterday's Tragedy

Rating: 5.0

I knew a man once
who fell head first
into a vat of being

- so poor, so poor
- so poor was he

surviving solely
on food and drink
the cold, cold wretch

I put this peom on PoetrySoup, here's a comment 'wow, a powerful...a vat of being was perfect...just a poor almost soulless man who survived on nothing but the physical needs of life...how sad. Well done! '
