Yo Pongo Mi Corazon En Mis Manos (I Put My Heart In My Hands) Poem by Leslie Alexis

Yo Pongo Mi Corazon En Mis Manos (I Put My Heart In My Hands)

Yo pongo mi corazon en mis manos
(I put my heart in my hands)
So that you may see that it beats for you.

Yo pongo mi corazon en mis manos
(I put my heart in my hands)
So that there may be space for it to grow.

Yo pongo mi corazon en mis manos
(I put my heart in my hands)
So that no secret shall be hidden from you.

Yo pongo mi corazon en mis manos
(I put my heart in my hands)
Because you did the same for me.

Te quiero quedar mi vida con tu
(I want to spend my life with you)
Te quiero, mi amor!
(I love you, my love!)

Thirty times did the sun rise, and thirty times did it set,
Thirty times did the moon rise and did it fall again
So too; thirty times did the roaster crow - since we were.
But, I tell you this, if I were to sum their numbers to one,
Then take the worth thereof and raise it to the same power;
The many shall fall short of my love’s increase for you -
And whilst we speak, within this hour, it has increased again.
I love you my darling, I love you, I love you, I love you much.
Numbers cannot tell, for this love is far beyond infinite.
Not even infinite plus one, can tell this love, nor infinite times two
And on the ‘morrow the many shall increase, then on the next moon,
Again it shall.
Yo pongo mi Corazon en mis manos;
So that my love for you may show.
