You - Poem by Anindita Chakraborty

You are the soul in every shade of the earth
You are the fear in the emptiness of the heart
You are the white storm that shriveled the leaves in autumn
You are the faith that revives the forsaken soul

You are the inspiration that the uninspired don't see
You are the essence of all lost time
You are the surprise of the imagination's flight
You are the freedom of the unbridled mind

You are the peace of a loving embrace
You are the solace of a heart at rest
You are the desire of an unrequited love
You are the silence of a solitary path

You are the silence I had to break
You are the cold wind I had to brave
You are the color that had to fade
I am the love that you never saved

    dear poet,
When your heart is filled with joy
    You can break the silence.
When your thoughts are filled with sorrow
You ca break the sky of imagination
