You Poem by Chrissy Robinson

You

Your eyes,
that once held my loving gaze.
You arms,
that once held me so tightly.
Your smile,
that once illuminated the whole room.
Your face,
that once made my heart skip a beat.
Your soul,
that once returned the love I gave.
You,
are no longer here with me.

a bitter-sweet poem Chrissy. You love deeply, and hurt deeply when it doesn't 'happen' any more. That is part of growing up and learning to discern. However, it doesn't help to be too introspective, as one tends to cloud judgement, especially when writing. You're almost there so, write from the heart, but edit from the head. Good luck and best wishes, Jerry Hughes
